Regulations of multimedia workouts competition devoted to 130th anniversary of ORT
The competition is held among students, currently studying at ORT schools, lyceums, gymnasiums and colleges in CIS and Baltic States
Purposes of the competition.
- Studying the history of ORT
- Disclosure of creative potential of the students
- Creating author works devoted to the 130th anniversary of the ORT
- Working out advertising and presentation materials about ORT centers in CIS and Baltic States.
The competition is held on the following nominations:
- Video works competition “My school is the ORT school”
- Competition of photo works devoted to the 130th anniversary of ORT (photo, slideshow, collage)
- Animation competition (cards and animated greetings)
Competition terms
In the frameworks of the competition creation of projects devoted to the 130th anniversary of ORT by schools and colleges teachers and students is expected. Both projects created by one author and by group of authors are allowed to participate in the competition.
Competition criteria and requirements
Avi or mpeg video files, size not less than 640x480 pixels, bit rate not less than 1000 kbit/sec, are accepted for participation in the competition.
Video files, presented for the competition should satisfy the following requirements:
- Time of animation film presentation should not exceed 10 minutes
- The project should be suitable for watching on PC running Windows
For participation in photo works competition *gif and *jpeg photos and collages with resolution 1200x1600 pixels and not less than 300 dpi are accepted. Photos should be author and should contain EXIF information with the date of creation. Collage may contain photos and drawings not owned by author.
Slideshow should be presented as gif, swf, avi or mpeg files. The works should satisfy the following requirements:
- Time of slideshow should not exceed 5 minutes
- The project should be suitable for watching on PC running Windows.
For participation in animation competition works created with the use of any animation technology (drawn, computer, dolls, plasticine) are accepted. Works for the competition should be presented in the form of gif, swf, avi or mpeg files.
Animation presented for the competition should satisfy the following requirements:
- Time of animation film should not exceed 2 minutes
- The project should be suitable for watching on PC running Windows
Organization of the competition
To organize and hold the competition special Committee, that determines the order of a competition,the current docuymentation, cost estimates and timing of all stages of a competition, their content and assessment criteria. The Committee form and approve the jury. The jury may include commitee members, leading ORT schools teachers and invited specialists.
Timing of the competition
The competition is held since February, 1st, 2010 to April 30th 2010.
Competition results will be published on April, 30th 2010.
Awards of the winners
The winners and their tutors will be awarded diplomas and gifts from World ORT Representative Office in CIS and Baltic States
The best projects with authors mentioned will be presented at the ORT CIS website.
