Kazan ORT Mishpakheinu school #12 Kazan ORT Technology Centre
The school #12 has been working since 1936. In 1998 Jewish classes was opened, and the school "Mishpahteynu" has been started. Since that times the Kazan ORT-Mishpahteynu School #12 has become on of prestigious in the city, and is well known in Tatarstan Republic. The school is especially popular due to the modern methods and the techniques, applied both in educational process and in school management.
The Jewish school' curriculum includes all subjects of the State Education Curriculum. Besides, the following Jewish studies are taught:
- Hebrew
- History, Traditions and Geography of Israel
The school education curricula and programs focus on using of modern computer technology, including distance learning, developing of project methods and inter-subjects integration.
On the 6th of September 2000 the ORT Technology Centre was open in school. Since that times in new Centre’s labs all students of the school has started to study "Computer science" and "Technology” with using of new technologies and information resources.
The main activity of the ORT Technology Centre is the teaching of Informatics and Technology subjects, integration of contemporary methods.
Additional courses in Web-design, Computer Graphics, Flash Animation Video are carried out.
The ORT Centre provides qualification improvement courses for teachers of the city and the republic in cooperation with Institute of Vocational Training Development, also courses for unemployed (under Employment Service assignment) are held in the Centre.
Today ORT Technology Centre is an integral part of the school "Mishpahteynu" and working for the younger generation.
In 2009 graduate of School # 12 ORT "Mishpahteinu" Ruslan Aigning became the only student in Tatrstan Republic and one the 61 students in Russian Federation who received an excellent result on the Unified State Exam of Computer Science.
