ORT is an organiser of All-Russia conference on teaching Robotics at School

April 8-9, 2013, there was All-Russian Conference "Methods of teaching the basics of Robotics in primary and secondary education" held in Yekaterinburg, among organizers of which the ORT was. Galina Brusnitsyna, Director of the "ORT-Career" Centre in Yekaterinburg, not only actively participated in the preparation and holding of the conference, but also to provide online support for the conference VikiRoboKomp (http://wikirobokomp.ru) and the page of the conference - http://goo. gl/S8wd2

The conference brought together 119 experts in the field of  teaching Robotics, from 29 cities of Russia.

The first time they were able to come together to discuss teaching methods, share experiences and talk about their developments.

At the plenary session Deputy Principal of the Kazan ORT “Mishpahteinu” school Vyacheslav Fiyalo made presentation "Technology for All": instructional support for Technology course". Thanks to ORT Evgeny Korchnoy,  Director of Leumi Robotics Center of Technion (Institute of Technology, Haifa), participated at the video-conference with participants.

The conference program included 31 presentations, devoted to prospects of Robotics development.

Also at the conference there were an exhibition of Robotics equipment, both Russian and foreign production (including new designer Lego Mindstorms EV3), as well as a presentation of the different teaching methods.

Great interest of participants was provoked by instructional developments of ORT network schools and Chelyabinsk Association of Educational Robotics. 34 educational institutions were delivered with   training complex for course "Fundamentals of Robotics" developed by ORT

Conference participants were able to visit seven master classes and workshops for various levels of training. A strong emotional response was caused   by the round table "Development of school Robotics as a means of development of technology education of students in general and additional education" that was held in conclusion of the conference and where participants discussed the final resolution, expressing the wish that acquired conference to have the status of annual one.
