«Masa Shorashim» project 2013
April, 4-10, 2013 within the framework of "Masa Shorashim" ("Journey to the Roots") project, implemented with the support of the Jewish Agency and the Ministry of Education of the State of Israel ("Heftziba" project), ORT network school students visited a number of cities and places in Ukraine: Lviv, Zhokva, Brody, Yanovskoe Drogobic, Borislav, Ivano-Frankivsk, Bucac, Medjoboj, Berdichev, Ostrog, Kiev.
International project "Masa Shorashim" ("Journey to the Roots"), annually involving 10th grade students of schools participating in the Hephzibah project, aims to deepen students' knowledge of Jewish history and the history of the Great Patriotic War, the perpetuation of the memory of those killed during war and victims of the Holocaust.
This year, the project was attended by 164 people - 146 students and 18 teachers.
Throughout the year, students were preparing to participate in the project: conduct a serious, painstaking research. During the trip, everyone was able to see the "live" objects of study and to acquaint others with their work.
No less important was the opportunity to make friends with peers from schools of the CIS and Baltic states.

This year the students of the Kiev ORT Technology Lyceum were not participants in the project only, but the tour guides who showed the students of other schools their hometown. April 10th they held a memory ceremony at Babiy Yar for all participants.
